2015: Started in 14 games and led Howard Payne in goals with a total of five on the season. Sanchez had 40 shots, 18 shots on goal, 11 points and one assist while logging 1085 minutes of playing time. He logged a game winner at East Texas Baptist in overtime and was named to the ASC All-Conference team.

2014: Started in 13 of 16 matches for Howard Payne. Scored one goal versus Louisiana College and saw 1,075 total minutes on the field for the Jackets.

2013: Sanchez started 13 of 18 games for the Jackets this season. He recorded a season total of 1331 minutes played. He had a total of 20 shots with eight on goal.

HS: Alex was a 2013 Honor Roll graduate of Ennis HS in Ennis, Texas while lettering in football and soccer.  While attending Ennis, he earned All-District honors in Soccer and Football, leading the district in goals and assists that season.  Also, he helped the Lions to a District Championship. In addition to athletics, he was a member of the Principal’s Student Council and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Personal: Alex is a Business Administration major from Ennis, Texas. He is the son of Diane Alvarez and Alejo Sanchez. He has one younger brother and two older sisters.
