Summary

Biography

2009-2010- Zane started in 23 of the 24 games he played in. He averaged 4.8 points per game and led the team in assists with 67. He scored a season high 16 points versus Anderson University and dished out a high of seven assists against the University of the Ozarks.

2008-09- Zane started all 25 games at point guard for the Jackets as a sophomore. He averaged 9 points and 3.4 rebounds a game. He also led the team in steals with 44, and was second on the team with 71 assists. 

2007-08-As a freshman Zane saw a lot of playing time. He played in 23 games totaling 185 minutes on the court. He scored a total of 24 points and brought down 28 rebounds. Zane had a game high against Southwestern Assemblies of God scoring 6 points; two three pointers. 

HS- He is a 2007 graduate of Brownwood High School where he lettered two years in basketball. He was named to the 2nd Team All-District and the 2nd Team All-Big Country. 

Personal- Zane is an Exercise Sports Science major and plans on being a basketball coach after graduation. Zane participates in Howard Payne intramurals. He is the son of Glenn Smith and Janetta Smith.
