Biography

2009-2010- Kanyon started in 22 of the 25 games he played in. He averaged 5.0 points per game and 4.1 rebounds per game. His season high in scoring came versus the University of Texas – Dallas with 14. He also grabbed a season high 10 rebounds at Texas Lutheran. He was named to the All-West Division Freshman Team.

HS- Kanyon is a graduate of Granbury high school. He was a three year letterman and was first team All-District his senior year and a second team All-District selection his junior year. He was also named his team’s MVP his senior year.

Personal- He is from Granbury, Texas. His parents are Jeff and Jodie Payne and he also has an older sister. After college he plans to become a physical therapist.
