Oscar De Santiago

Oscar joined the Howard Payne men’s soccer staff in the Spring of 2024 after playing three seasons with the Yellow Jackets and graduating in 2023.  

Before becoming a Yellow Jacket, Oscar played defender and center defensive midfielder at Cypress Falls High School for four years. He was a two-time second-team all-district selection player his sophomore year and junior year, while also being named District Defensive MVP his senior year.  

After Cypress Falls, he started his student collegiate career at Blinn College where he played two seasons with the Bucs and graduated with his associate degree in Exercise Science in 2021. 

During his time at HPU, Oscar received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. While working towards his bachelor’s degree Oscar also played soccer for 3 seasons with the men’s soccer team where he received All-Conference selections in 2021,2022 and 2023. His senior year he was also named team captain.  

Oscar, during the summer, spends time coaching soccer camps with the Real Madrid Foundation across the United States. 

Oscar De Santiago is currently working on his Master of Education in Sport and Wellness Leadership.
