2022: Playing in 13 singles, Fernandez appeared in the number one spot three times and the number two spot 11 times. He finished with an overall record of 1-13. Partnering with Nicolas Gates in the number one spot, Fernandez had an overall record of 1-13 in doubles. He was an ASC East Player of the Week and ASC Academic All-Conference selection as well.

2021-22: Playing in the number five spot with appearances in the number three and four spots, Fernandez went 5-6 overall and 2-3 in conference play. Partnering with Landon Ferree in the number three doubles, he had an overall doubles record of 4-8 and a record of 1-4 in conference play.

Previous School: Prior to Howard Payne University, Fernandez attended Brescia University in Owensboro, Kentucky.

HS: Fernandez attended Alvin High School in Alvin, Texas.
