Summary

Biography

2023: A CSC Academic All-District selection, Cason recorded eight wins in her last ten starts. Bree recorded two no-hitters during the season, one versus Ozarks and one against Arlington Baptist. She was named ASC Pitcher of the Week one time this season and was an Academic All-Conference selection.

2022: Appearing in 20 games for HPU, Cason led the team in strikeouts with 44 across a team-high 89.1 innings pitched. She was an Academic All-Conference selection as well.

2021: Pitching in 19 games for the Lady Jackets, Bree threw 93 innings and earned four wins and one save. She recorded a team-high 52 strikeouts and had one putout and 15 assists while fielding. She had a season-high six strikeouts versus McMurry.

2020: Saw action in four games, earning her first collegiate victory against Texas-Dallas while pitching 4.2 innings.  She recorded six strikeouts on the year.

HS: Bree played four years of softball and three years of basketball at Honey Grove High School in Honey Grove, Texas.  She was named Newcomer of the Year in 2016 and District MVP in back-to-back seasons in 2017 and 2018, and her team were area champions in 2016 and regional finalists in 2019.  She earned Academic All-District honors all four years for softball and basketball.

Personal: Bree is the daughter of Brent and Kim Cason and has two siblings.  She is pursuing a degree in nursing and hopes to become a nurse practitioner.
