Coach Anderson came to Howard Payne in January of 2022 after a playing career at Louisiana Tech and Texas Women’s University, and helping guide successful travel and instructional programs.
After finishing her bachelor’s degree, Kailey remained active in her local softball community. She hosted and conducted fielding camps known as Kailey’s Kamps. At the camps, softball players of all ages received high-level training and instruction.
During that time, Kailey also worked as an instructor at The Zone and D-Bat East Dallas in the Dallas area.
Kailey also played a considerable part in travel ball teams coaching teams from the age of 12 up to 18. In her earlier years, she grew up through the Texas Glory organization and has spent her time giving back to them through coaching and instruction.
As a player, Coach Anderson was a member of Louisiana Tech’s Softball Team from 2017-2020. There she was named to C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll 2018.
While at La Tech, the team was C-USA Conference Champion 2019 and made an NCAA Regional appearance at LSU in 2019.
Kailey was a four-year letter winner at Mesquite High School in Mesquite, Texas, leading the Skeeters to the state playoffs three years, a District 10-6A title in 2015, Bi-district titles in 2015 and 2016, and to the 10-6A area final in 2016. As a 4-time first-team all-district selection, she was All-DFW Metroplex in 2014, 2016 and 2017, and the District 10-6A Defensive Player of the Year in 2016.
Kailey holds a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana Tech University in Sports Marketing and is pursuing her Masters of Science in Kinesiology from Texas Women’s University.
