2016: Scored three runs while appearing in 16 games for the Lady Jackets as a freshmen. McCoy was also recognized as an ASC All-Academic honor roll recipient.

High School: Attended Abilene High School where she participated in Softball, Power lifting, and basketball before graduating in 2015. She was a state qualifier and regional champion in power lifting.

Personal. Katlyn was in the National Honor Society, a captain of her band, a student council representative and an active member of her high school's Crime Stoppers board of representatives during her time in high school. She is the daughter of Shane and Kayla McCoy and she has one younger sister. Majoring in Criminal Justice and wants to become a teacher and coach for at-risk juveniles.
