High School: A native of Cibola, Texas, Jones graduated from Byron P. Steele II High School in 2016 where she played three years of varsity basketball. She helped lead her team to two consecutive state tournament appearances while being recognized as an Academic All-District. Also participated in Cross Country. 

Personal: Jada is the daughter of Kenneth and Carla Matthews and she has one sibling. Majoring in biology with hopes of becoming a doctor in the future.
