HS: Kayla played basketball at Cornerstone Christian Academy located in Granbury, Texas where she 2019-20 Newcomer of the Year, 2019-20 1^st Team All-District and 2^nd Team All-State, 2020-21 Offensive Player of the Year, 2020-21 1^st Team All-District and 1^st Team All-State, 2021-22 Division MVP, 2021-22 1^st Team All-District and 1^st Team All-State, 2021-22 All-State Championship Tournament Team, 2022-23 District MVP, and 2022-23 1^st Team All-District and 1^st Team All-State. She helped lead her team to a state championship and two district championships. Kayla also competed in volleyball and cross country.

Personal: Kayla is the daughter of Mark and Ginger Kirk and has three siblings. She plans to major in Allied Health Science and Christian Studies and aspires to be a Christian camp director or physical therapist.
