2019-20: In a shortened season playing the number one spot for the Lady Jackets, Jessenia went 1-7 in singles. Partnering with Brittany Sutton and Zaylie Sanchez as the number one team, they went 1-7 in doubles action. She is also a member of HPU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

HS: A 2019 graduate from Fort Stockton High School in Fort Stockton, Texas, Jessenia was a varsity tennis player all four years. She was awarded Most Improved Player her freshman year, went to Regionals her sophomore year, and was Captain her junior and senior seasons. As a team, they became bi-district champions her senior year. Other involvements include church youth group and choir.

Personal: The daughter of Jesus and Lucy Ureste; four siblings; is majoring in Nursing.
