Biography

2020-2021: Appearing in all 22 matches for the Lady Jackets, she had a season-high eight kills versus Jarvis Christian and a season-high nine digs versus McMurry. 

2019: Appearing in 17 games for the Lady Jackets, she registered a season high six kills versus Paul Quinn, three digs against Louisiana College, and five blocks versus Schreiner.

HS: Canyon was a multi-sport athlete in volleyball, basketball, and softball while attending Moody High School in Moody, Texas.  While there, she was named District Most Valuable Player in volleyball, while also receiving accolades in basketball and softball.

Personal: She is the daughter of Billy and Gina Hughes and has two siblings. Canyon is pursuing a degree in Education.
