Jonathon Langdon joined Howard Payne University in July 2026 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Broadcasting & Communications, bringing a diverse background in athletic communications, live event production, and play-by-play broadcasting.
In his role, Langdon oversees the department's communications strategy, including media relations, website management, live streaming, and statistical operations.
Before arriving at Howard Payne, Langdon served as a Broadcast Technician with the Columbus Clippers, the Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians. In addition to announcing games, he directed live broadcasts, produced highlight packages, conducted post game interviews, and helped expand the organization's coverage throughout central Ohio.
A 2024 graduate of Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Langdon earned a Bachelor of Communication & Digital Media with a minor in Sports Management.
During his time at MVNU, he served as Sports Director for WNZR 90.9 FM, broadcasting more than 100 men's and women's basketball games, producing daily sports updates, hosting on-air programming, and helping lead fundraising efforts for the campus radio station.
