Micah (Cisneroz) Taylor joined the HPU athletic staff in the spring of 2025 to start the beach volleyball program at Howard Payne.
 
Micah Taylor familyCoach Taylor is a Howard Payne alumnus who was an All-Conference volleyball and basketball player for the Lady Jackets from 2015-2017.
 
Since her time as a player at HPU, Micah worked in the high school and club volleyball ranks in Comanche and Stephenville, Texas.
 
During the 2024 season, Micah helped lead the Comanche Maidens to their first volleyball playoff appearance since 2017. She coached the District Defensive MVP and multiple first-team All-District players.
 
Micah also worked extensively with the club volleyball program Sky High in Stephenville, Texas developing practice plans, tournament organization, and player development.
 
As an athlete at HPU, she was named team MVP two seasons and received 2nd Team All-Conference and All-West Division honors.
 
Micah was also a great player for the Lady Jacket basketball team receiving 1st Team and HM Mention All-Conference awards as well as being named to the All-Defensive Team.
 
The 2017 HPU Tami Pattillo Memorial Award honoree, Micah received a Bachelor of Science from HPU in ESS in 2016 and a Master of Business Administration from HPU in 2018.
 
Micah is married to Trent and they have two daughters, Hollyn and Lottie.
