BROWNWOOD, TX…The Howard Payne baseball team was out slugged by the McMurry Indians 13-10 and 12-8 in their ASC-West double header Saturday afternoon. Lee Morrison (San Angelo, TX/Lake View HS) went 6-for-10 with five RBIs and four runs scored. He had two doubles plus a 400 plus foot blast in the second game.

Ryan Kunz (Galveston, TX) had 4-for-9 with three RBIs and three runs, he also hit a home run. Tye Moore (Justin, TX/Frank Phillips JC) went 4-for-10 with four RBIs and three runs scored.

Joshua Holmes (Brownwood, TX/BHS) pitched up the loss in game one, pitching four innings allowing seven hits and 10 runs, seven earned.

Doug Wren (Arlington, TX/Tyler JC) pitched in the second game, throwing seven innings giving up 15 hits and 10 runs, all earned.
