BROWNWOOD, TX…A strong offense performance by the nationally ranked Bulldogs of Texas Lutheran was too much for the Yellow Jackets as they loss Saturday's doubleheader 12-4 in game one and 26-6 in game two. Jose Sierra (New Braunfels, TX/Cisco JC) went 2-for-3 with his first home run.

Craig Simpson (Brownwood, TX/BHS) had five hits and three RBIs and blasted his four home run of the season in the two games.

Tye Moore (Justin, TX/Frank Phillips JC) joined Sierra and Simpson as the only Yellow Jackets with multiple hits.

Doug Wren (Arlington, TX/Tyler JC) took the loss in game one allowing 17 hits and 12 runs.

Kelley Henderson (Arlington, TX/Tyler JC) took the loss in the second game. He threw one and one third innings allowing nine runs in his work.

HPU will look to bounce back next weekend as they host Sul Ross State.
