BROWNWOOD, TX...Howard Payne volleyball hosted Texas Lutheran University, the defending ASC champions, Tuesday night in the Brownwood Coliseum. The Jackets play tough but lost in 4 games.

The Jackets held leads midway through the first, second, and fourth games but were unable to hold on. They did take the third game 30-25. Led by stelar play from So. MH Katie Preuss(Comfort HS), she had 10 kills on 24 att., 4 aces, 6 digs, and 3 blocks(1solo,2assist). Also a solid performance by Jr. MB Destiny Barry(Burnet HS), she had 10 kills on 24 att, and 3 blocks(1solo, 2 assist).

Defensively, Fr. L Missy Dennis(San Antonio-Clemens HS) had a solid game with 24 digs.

TLU's Amber Meeks and Kristen Eldridge had 11 kills each. Meagan Purser had 38 assists.
