ABILENE, TX...The HPU volleyball team would lose to the Lady Indians but not before taking one game.

HPU got out to a slow start in game 1, losing (30-19), and game 2 (30-10). The HPU would rally in game 3 to win (30-27). The Lady Jackets would play their best volleyball of the night stats wise in game 4 but drop the game (30-24).

Top hitters for HPU were Jr. OH Sandra Fish(Burnet HS) and Fr. OH Jessica Hutton(Austin-St. Andrew's Episcopal HS) both with 9 kills. Defensively, Fr. L Missy Dennis(San Antonio-Clemens) and Sandra Fish would have 17 and 16 digs. Fr. S Patricia Brown(Tomball HS) would have 22 assists.

Top performers for McMurry would be Leighanne Meador with 10 kills, Shannon Higgins with 29 assists, and Gabs Vigil with 28 digs.
