HPU Finishes 8-0 Before Christmas Break

DALLAS, Texas - The Lady Jackets used a 19 to 3 run at the end of the first half to pull away from the University of Texas at Dallas for an eventual 67-38 victory on Monday afternoon.

The Lady Jackets held UT-Dallas to their worst offensive showing of the season, allowing only 16 second-half points in a 67-38 victory. 

UTD kept close for much of the first half, tying the score at 20-20 with 7:46 to go before intermission. But HPU finished the half on a 19-3 run and led, 39-22.

The Lady Jackets scored just 28 points after intermission. But UTD hit just 6-of-28 from the field (.214) in the second period to become HPU's eighth victim of the season.

HPU's Meia Daniels (Fort Worth) led all scorers with 16 points on 6 of 11 shooting. Kim Hoffman (Bloomington) and Stacey Blalock (Magnolia) scored 10 points each; Hoffman also added 7 rebounds.

UTD did not have a single player finish in double figures in that game and were led by Jenise Langston with 8 points and Jenna Harris with 11 rebounds.
