BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets capitlized on the Crusaders of the University of Dallas' 6 errors and posted an 8-4 win Tuesday at Don Shepard Park.

HPU's Ryan Kunz had 2 of Howard Payne's 5 hits in the game. Logan Nelson got the win for the Jackets throwing 5 innings giving up 1 run on 5 hits. Univ. of Dallas' Moore got the loss for the game, pitching 7 and 2/3 giving up eight runs on 5 hits.

The Jacket jumped out to a 5-0 lead with scores in the 2nd, 3rd, 4rd, and 6th innings. Univ. of Dallas' big inning was the top of the 7th when they scored 3 runs to bring the score to 6-4 HPU. The Jackets sealed the deal from there, adding 2 more runs, one each in the bottom of the 7th and 8th.

The Yellow Jackets will be on the road this weekend in an ASC match-up with Texas Lutheran University in Seguin.
