BROWNWOOD, Texas- The Lady Jackets played Schreiner University close throughout the game, but unfortunately Schreiner prevailed 4-1.   Freshman Sirena Staedtler (Marble Falls) scored the Lady Jackets only goal of the game at 6:50 into the game that tied the score at 1-1. The Lady Mountaineers scored three goals after the Lady Jackets score and held on to prevail 4-1.

The Jackets played well but Brice Reusink's (Wylie) goal at 80:29 wasn't enough to bring the Jackets back. The Mountaineers of Schreiner scored two goals, one in each half, and the Jackets failed to capitalize in the end. Reece Daniel (Abilene) had 11 saves for the Jackets.

The men's next game is Monday; September 25, 2006 in Austin against Huston Tillison the time is TBA.

The women and men continue conference play next Friday and Saturday September 29th and 30th. Friday will be against East Texas Baptist University in Marshall at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. They play again on Saturday against Letourneau University in Longview at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
