Sul Ross Snaps the Yellow Jackets nine game win streak

ALPINE, Texas - Both teams combined for over 1100 yards of offense as the Lobos of Sul Ross State University defeat the Yellow Jackets 60-56 Saturday night at Jackson Field.

The game was the second highest combined score (116) for both teams in Howard Payne history.

Saturday night's Sul Ross win was also the first ASC football win against Howard Payne and it also snapped a 9-game Yellow Jacket winning streak.

HPU Sr. QB Adam Johnson threw for a HPU career high 447 yards (29-43-2). The Jackets had three receivers catch for over 100 yards - Sr. Chris Jackson (Dallas) 150 yards, Sr. David Guerrero (Midland) 141 yards, and Sr. Brandon Tolbert (Austin) 122 yards.
