AUSTIN, Texas - The Lady Jackets got the 2006 season started right as they downed Huston-Tillotson 3-0 (30-26,30-22,30-28) on Tueday evening.

Most of the Howard Payne offense came from Sr. OH Sandra Fish (Burnet), Sr. MB Destiny Barry (Burnet), and Jr. OH Katie Preuss (Comfort) with 11, 9, and 8 kills respectively.

HPU So. Setter Patricia Brown (Tomball) had 31 assists and defensively So. L Jessica Hutton (Austin) got 11 digs.

Huston-Tillotson was led by Grundy with 6 kills and Sandlin with 9 digs.

The Lady Jacket will be in action this weekend at the Austin College Tournament in Sherman, TX.
