LONGVIEW, Texas – The Howard Payne Lady Jackets extended their season record to 8-0 with a 75-38 blow-out of LeTourneau University Monday afternoon.

The Howard Payne Lady Jackets forced 34 LeTourneau turnovers while only committing 16 of their own. HPU held LeTourneau to just 30.6% shooting in the game.

The game was never really in question for Howard Payne as their opened an early lead and held a 40-19 halftime advantage.

Howard Payne was led by Meia Daniels with a game high 18 points and 8 rebounds, she also had 6 assists and 6 steals. Kim Hoffman, Stacey Blalock, Elaine Hobbs added 12 points each.

Ashley Shepard led LeTourneau with 9 points and 9 rebounds. La'Queda Davis added 9 rebounds .

HPU improves to 8-0 overall and 5-0 in ASC play, while LeTourneau falls to 2-7 overall and 0-5 in ASC action.

The Lady Jackets will play next at home on December 29 at 3:00 pm against the University of Texas at Permian Basin.
