BROWNWOOD, Texas - Howard Payne Lady Jackets had one of their best performances of the season in a 3-0 victory over visiting Schreiner University in American Southwest Conference action on Tuesday.

HPU were able to keep the Lady Mountaineers of Schreiner at arms length to gain the 30-27,30-23,30-27 victory.

Freshman Megan Pick played great for HPU with 16 kills on 32 attempts, a .406 attack pct. Sydney Bryant added 11 kills and 11 digs.

Senior Katie Preuss playing in her final home match of the HPU career had 10 kills on 22 attempts, a .227 attack pct. She also added three service aces.

Setter Patrica Brown had 42 assists and Missy Dennis had a team-high 14 digs.

Howard Payne improves to 9-19 overall and 3-14 in ASC action.

The Lady Jackets will play their final match of the season on Thursday traveling to Sul Ross State.
