AUSTIN, Texas - The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets were topped by the Concordia Tornados 6-4 in their opening game series at Keller-Faszholz field.

Howard Payne went into the bottom of the ninth up 4-2 but Concordia scored four runs in the bottom of the eight to get the win over HPU. As a team Concordia out hit HPU 8-3.

Concordia senior ,Jonathan Miller, struck out 12 of the 25 batters that he faced on the night. HPU senio Justin Davies got the loss for the Jackets.

Both teams will face-off tommorrow in a double-header at Keller-Faszholz Stadium. First pitch in game one is scheduled for 1:00pm.
