Sul Ross State Victim To Yellow Jacket Sweep

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne baseball team completed a three game sweep of Sul Ross State on Saturday, 7-1 and 8-2. The Jackets improved to 13-17 on the season and 7-8 in American Southwest Conference action.

Josh Holmes got the 7-1 complete game win for the Jackets giving up three hits and one run(earned). Holmes struckout 3 and walked 4.

Cody Kemmerling picked up the loss for Sul Ross.

In game two, Colby Rowley received the win for Howard Payne pitching 6 innings giving up 2 runs(one earned) on 5 hits, strikingout five.

Jamie Rojo got the loss for Sul Ross. Rojo gave up all 8 runs to the Jackets.

Howard Payne will play on the road on Tuesday versus Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth.
