Lady Jackets Drop Home Opener 0-3

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne volleyball team fell to visiting Hardin-Simmons 0-3 (24-30,21-30,22-30) in the Brownwood Coliseum Thursday night.

Howard Payne only managed a .093 hitting pct. in the match while Hardin-Simmons posted .250.

Top hitter for HPU was freshman Megan Pick who had 7 kills and a .231 hitting pct. Patricia Brown had 28 assists and 12 digs. Missy Dennis also had 17 digs.

Kaela Parnell led HSU with 13 kills. Setter Amanda Curry had 39 assists.

HPU will be in action this weekend in Abilene at the McMurry University Tournament.
