SEGUIN, Texas - The Howard Payne volleyball team fell to 0-3 in American Southwest Conference play with a 0-3 loss to the Lady Bulldogs of Texas Lutheran University Tuesday evening in TLU's Tostengard Activity Center.

HPU was defeated 30-17, 30-19, 30-22 in the contest. As a team, Howard Payne was held (3-6, 0-3 ASC) to a hitting percentage of .114, while TLU (6-2, 3-0 ASC) hit .400.

Katie Preuss who is returning to action after an injury had a solid game for the Lady Jackets with 5 kills on 9 attempts.

Sydney Bryant led Howard Payne with seven kills and five digs, while setter Patricia Brown had 18 assists.

HPU will play again on Saturday taking on Sul Ross State at noon in ASC action and will play again at 7:30 PM against Huston-Tillotson University in a non-conference match.
