KERRVILLE, Texas - The Howard Payne volleyball team travel to Schreiner University for a Tuesday evening American Southwest Conference match and fell 1-3 (23-30.25-30,35-33,21-30)

After dropping the first two games 23-30 and 25-30 the Lady Jackets went to the nail and pulled out game three 35-33.

HPU went up early in game four but fell in the end 21-30. HPU lost the match 1-3.

Katie Preuss lead HPU with 17 kills and setter Tish Brown had 38 assists in the match. Missy Dennis recorded 28 digs on the night.

HPU fell to 5-7 overall and 1-5 in ASC action, while Schreiner improved to 5-7 overall and 2-4 in ASC play.

The Lady Jackets will play again on Friday against UT-Dallas at the ASC Crossover Tournament.
