BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets jumped out to an early 2-0 lead but visiting LeTourneau was able to come back to tie the game 2-2 in the final at Citizens National Bank Field on Saturday.

Howard Payne scored just five minutes in the match when Chris Martinez found the net on an assist by Wilfredo Larios.

The Jackets scored again in the 21st minutes on a bicycle kick by Malcolm Wentworth.

LeTourneau got their first goal right before the end of the first period on a header by Norman Fleet off a corner kick.

LeTourneau got their second goal 15 minutes into the second period by Daniel Iya.

LeTourneau outshot HPU 16-11 in the match. HPU goal keeper Malcolm Framjee recorded 6 saves in the match.

HPU will play again on Thursday as they travel to Austin to take on Concordia University Texas.
