Jackets Tie Huston-Tillotson

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets only needed 4 shot attempts to tie Huston-Tillotson 1-1 in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon.

The Jackets were outshot 4-18 in the game by Huston-Tillotson with only one on goal. 

HPU freshman Shane Cazad scored in the 6th minute of the game off a corner kick by Dennis Benitez.

Holding a 1-0 halftime advantage the Yellow Jackets did give up a goal in the 60th minute by Oscar Ortez.

Malcolm Framjee started in goal for HPU recording 5 saves.

The Jackets are now 4-4-3 on the season and Huston-Tillotson is 8-5-1 overall.

The Jackets play next on Friday at home versus Mississppi College at Citizens National Bank Field.
