Goal Keeper Francisco Medina (#1) sets HPU record for saves in a game (17)

ABILENE, Texas - Howard Payne plays McMurry University to a 0-0 tie in American Southwest Conference action Friday afternoon.

Even though no one scored for either team, both goal keepers in the game racked up on the saves. HPU keeper Francisco Medina recorded 17 saves and set a new Howard Payne school record in the process. The record previously was held by Malcolm Framjee with 13.

The McMurry goal keeper, Leeland Karpf, recorded 11 saves.

The Yellow Jackets stand at 5-5-4 overall, 4-5-2 in ASC action, while McMurry improves to 0-13-1overall, 0-9-1 in ASC play.

The Jackets play tomorrow at Hardin-Simmons in American Southwest Conference action.
