Jackets Post 2-0 Win

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets get goals from Shane Cazad and Paul Deets to post a 2-0 win over Concordia University Texas at Citizens National Bank Field Saturday afternoon.

The Jackets scored both goals in the the first period. Shane Cazad found the net in the 10th minute of the match.

In the 27th minute Paul Deets took a pass from Dennis Benitez to make the score 2-0 HPU. Even though Concordia outshot HPU 18 to 13 in the game only 6 were on goal. 

Francisco Medina played all 90 minutes in goal for HPU recording 6 saves.

The Jackets improve to 4-2-2,3-2-1 ASC, while Concordia falls to 3-8-0,2-4-0 ASC. Howard Payne will play next on Thursday in Clarksville, AR against the University of the Ozarks.
