BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets rally from 1-3 deficit to post a 4-3 victory over visiting Southwestern University at Don Shepard Park on Tuesday.

Southwestern scored their 3 runs in the first two innings. After scoring one run in the first the Jackets scored three runs in the bottom of the second to take the 4-3 lead. It was the Howard Payne pitching that held Southwestern scoreless from there.

Colby Rowley picked up the win for the Jackets pitching 3.0 innings giving up 3 runs on 3 hits walking one and striking-out three. Adam Garcia came in in relief throwing 6.0 innings allowing just 2 hits walking one and striking-out seven.

The Jackets will play next on the the 22th in an American Southwest Conference match-up versus Louisiana College at home. It will be a noon start.
