BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets baseball team scores 32 runs in game one of their three game series with Concordia University and set a new American Southwest Conference record for runs in a single game. Howard Payne won the series 2-1 (32-19, 8-10, 12-9).
The new record for runs in a game of 32 was previously held by East Texas Baptist with 31 set on March 12, 2003 versus Texas College. They also tie the ASC record for RBI in a game with 28.
The Yellow Jackets will play next Thursday and Friday on the road at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin.
