SEGUIN, Texas – The Howard Payne Yellow Jacket baseball team after taking game one of the three game series versus Texas Lutheran 10-5 drop the day two double header, 3-5, 12-24.
Adam Garcia picked up the win in game one for Howard Payne pitching 7.0 innings and giving up 5 runs on 8 hits. Garcia struck-out 3 and walked 4. The Jackets as a team had 10 hits, 10 runs and 10 RBI.
Colby Rowley and Chase LaPenna pickup the losses in games 2 and 3 for the Jackets.
In Game three the game was tied 12-12 in the top of the 8th but TLU scored 12 runs in the bottom of the inning to take the 12-24 win.
The Jackets fall to 10-12 overall and 5-4 in ASC action while TLU improves to 14-13 and 4-5 in ASC play.
The Jackets will play next on Friday in Alpine versus Sul Ross State.
