HPU Falls In First Round Game

IRVING, Texas - The Howard Payne Lady Jackets softball team dropped their first game of the 2008 American Southwest Conference Tournament to the University of Texas - Tyler 0-7 at Southwest Park.
 
The Patriots of Uniersity of Texas -Tyler used a grandslam homerun in bottom of the 3rd inning to break the 0-0 tie.  
 
Jenna Middleton picked up the loss for HPU and UTT's Harrington recorded the win.
 
HPU will play the loser of the Louisiana College and East Texas Baptist game at 2:00 pm at Southwest Park.
