Jackets Stay Undefeated On the Season

BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne Yellow Jacket soccer team got the one goal they needed from Dennis Benitez for a 1-0 victory over Texas Lutheran University in American Southwest Conference action on Saturday.

HPU goal keeper Francisco Medina recorded his second consecutive shutout  in the win against Texas Lutheran. The Jackets got their one goal from Dennis Benitez in the 44th minute on a Jacob Shuttleworth assist.

HPU improves to 3-0-1 overall record and 2-0 in ASC play, while TLU falls to 1-2-1, 0-1-1 in ASC action.

The Jackets will play next on the road against Letourneau University in Longview on Friday.
