MARSHALL, Texas - The Howard Payne Yellow Jackets dropped a game to American Southwest Conference opponent East Texas Baptist 1-2 for their second consecutive loss on the season.

After playing to 0-0 tie at the half, Howard Payne found the net first on an unassisted goal from Dennis Benitez in the 60th minute.

East Texas Baptist answered back just 2 minutes later on a goal by Justin Bailey. ETBU scored again in the 70th minute by Richard Andrews which proved to be the game winner.

Francisco Medina played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded seven saves.

Howard Payne falls to 3-2-1 overall and 2-2-0 in ASC action, while ETBU improves to 4-2-1 and 3-1-0 in ASC play.

The Yellow Jackets will play next at home on Friday versus the University of Texas at Tyler.
