Errors Lead To 0-3 Loss

BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Lady Jackets volleyball team committed 23 attack errors and fell to the lady Mountaineers of Schreiner University 0-3 (17-25,11-25,18-25) in American Southwest Conference action Tuesday night. 

Howard Payne hit -.033 hitting pct. In the match, their lowest of the season. Schreiner hit .239 as a team. 

Tamika Heline led Howard Payne with 6 kills and 9 digs. Kristin Hammond recorded 9 digs as well. Amy Crouch had 10 assists. 

Caitlin Gayle led Schreiner with 10 kills and no errors on the night. 

HPU falls to 9-7 overall and 2-5 in ASC action, while Schreiner improves to 7-4 overall and 4-3 in ASC play. 

The Jackets will play next at the ASC crossover tournament in Seguin on Friday. HPU will open up with UT-Tyler.
