Men's Soccer Falls To UT-Tyler

TYLER, Texas - After a delay midway through the game due to weather, the Howard Payne men's soccer team fell to the University of Texas at Tyler 4-1 in American Southwest Conference action Thursday evening.

Shane Cazad scored the only goal for the Jackets on a penalty kick in the 29th minute. 

Both teams were statistically even for the game but UT-Tyler was able to put more ball in the net. 

Francisco Medina played all 90 minutes in goal for HPU recording 4 saves.

Howard Payne falls to 4-4 overall and 3-2 in ASC action, while UT-Tyler improves to 2-4-2 overall and 2-1-2 in ASC play.

The Jackets travel to Austin on Saturday to take on Concordia University Texas.
