PINEVILLE, LA - The Howard Payne men's soccer team blasted Louisiana College 7-0 in American Southwest Conference action Thursday evening.

Howard Payne held a 1-0 halftime lead after Kelton McMillan goal in the 23 minute.

The Jackets had an explosion of offense in the second half scoring 6 goals in 15 minutes and 35 seconds time. 

During that 15 minute span, Howard Payne got goals from Jaime Benitez (53rd minute), Aaron Long (56th minute), Ben Bishop (64th minute), Two goals from Cameron Jannati (65th and 67th minutes), and Chris Martinez (69th minute).

HPU outshot Louisiana College 20 to 5 in the game. HPU starting keeper Francisco Medina (65 minutes) got a combined shutout win with Kyle Huesing (25 minutes).

Jackets improve to 6-6 overall and 5-4 in ASC play, while Louisiana College falls to 1-14 overall.

Howard Payne will continue their road trip and play Mississippi College on Saturday afternoon.
