HPU Sports Information
BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne men's tennis team dropped matches to LeTourneau University 6-3 and the University of Texas at Tyler 9-0 on Friday,
In the LeTourneau match, HPU picked up wins in the #2 singles with Chris Sutton 6-4, 6-2 and #4 singles with Ross Sidman 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-5) . The HPU #2 double team of Ross Sidman and Raymond Borjas won 8-6.
The Jackets did not fair well versus ASC power Univ. of Texas Tyler falling 9-0.
HPU is now 1-2 in match play on the year. They will be in Dallas on Saturday taking on the University of Texas at Dallas.
