Jackets Fall In OT To Centenary

SHREVEPORT, LA - The Howard Payne University men's soccer team fell in double overtime 1-0 to Centenary College Saturday evening.

The Yellow Jackets were outshot 22-14 in the game by Centenary. The Jackets only got one shot off in the two overtime periods.

Centenary got the game winning goal by Spencer Nickerson in the 107th minute on a Marcos Rodriguez assist.

Howard Payne use both Drew Clanahan and Ryan Young in goal. Young played 55 minutes with four saves and Clanahan played just over 51 minutes with five saves, alllowing one goal.

The Jackets are now 6-8 overall and 4-6 in ASC action. Centenary stands at 11-3-1 overall. HPU will play next on October 28th versus Texas Lutheran in Seguin.
