Jackets Fall In OT To Concordia

AUSTIN, Texas – Concordia University Texas scored the golden goal in the 100th minute to post a 2-1 overtime win over the Howard Payne University men's soccer team on Thursday.

After a scoreless first half, Concordia got on the scoreboard first in the 68th minute. The Yellow Jackets, however, were able to net the equalizer when Jaime Benitez found an open Shane Cazad on the right side of the box in the 80th minute.

Concordia outshot Howard Payne 5-1 in the overtime period scoring the winning goal in the 100th minute.

Howard Payne's (3-2, ASC 1-1) Kyle Huesing suffered the loss despite turning away seven of the 32 shots he faced.

The Yellow Jackets will continue their road trip playing on Saturday against the University of Texas at Tyler.
