BROWNWOOD, Texas – Jacob Moore scored his first college goal for Howard Payne in a 1-1 tie with conference opponent LeTourneau University Friday afternoon.

Even though the Yellow Jackets outshot LeTourneau 12-6 in the first period, Letu would score in the 34th minute from the top of the box.

The Jackets would tie the match at 1-1 just 2:20 into the second period when Jacob Moore netted his first goal as a Yellow Jacket from 17 yards out.

The game could not be decided after two overtime periods and both teams added a tie to their records. Howard Payne now stands at 3-8-2 overall and LeTourneau is 2-11-1 overall.

Ryan Young played all 110 minutes in goal for the Jackets recording six saves.

Howard Payne will play next on Saturday versus the University of Texas at Tyler at 3:00 pm. It will be senior day and the seniors will be recognized before the game.
