Jackets Finish Season With 1-0 Win

BELTON, Texas – Howard Payne's Shay Pate scores his fourth goal of the season to give the Yellow Jacket soccer team a 1-0 victory over the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Saturday evening.

Shay Pate gave Howard Payne an early lead with his fourth goal of the year at the 33:14 mark. UMHB outshot the Yellow Jackets 19-4 in the match but the HPU defense was able to keep them out of the net.

Lance Forehand got the win in goal for HPU playing all 90 minutes and recording 8 saves.

Howard Payne ends its season at 4-10-2 overall and 2-9-1 in ASC action.  UMHB finishes the regular season at 10-5-1 overall record and 8-3-1 in conference play.
