BROWNWOOD, Texas - The Howard Payne men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Texas Lutheran University in conference action Friday at Citizens National Bank Field.

The Jackets were outshot 11-7 overall and 6-3 in shots on goal by Texas Lutheran. The only score in the game came in the 24th minute when TLU's Gio Silveyra scored on a scissor kick. The pass came from Zeke Del Toro 18 yards out on the right side.

Both teams were tied up at 4-4 on corner kicks for the game. Ryan Young got the loss for HPU recording four saves.

Howard Payne is now 3-5-1 overall and TLU improves to 5-3-2 on the year. The Yellow Jackets will host Schreiner University on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
