Jackets Fall In 10th To McMurry

ABILENE, Texas - Howard Payne University pitcher Corey Howie went the distance but the Yellow Jackets fell in the 10th inning 1-0 to McMurry University.

It was a pitcher's dual with McMurry winning 1-0 on an infield single in the bottom of the 10th. Recording the loss for HPU was Corey Howie who threw 9.2 innings giving up just one run on 10 hits and struckout seven. Jordan Hammontree was 2 of 3 from the plate followed by Alan Sailors who went 2 of 4.

Howard Payne is now 10-14 overall and McMurry stands at 14-14 on the year. The two teams will play a double header tomorrow starting at 1:00 pm to finish out the series.
